Boot Camp...

Hey Y'all!
I went to boot camp this week... and it was pretty intense!! It is an hour long, which seems like 87 hours, but after we are finished, I always feel really good and like I kicked some ass! We usually have the same format... 10 minutes of warm up, two 4 station circuits and then a "challenge" before we cool down and stretch. Our "challenge" this week was INSANE! We had 20 minutes to complete the whole thing... 45 reps of 6 different activities...
1. Burpees (I HATE burpees!!)
2. Kettlebell Swings
3. Sit ups
4. Wall Balls (Squat with a 10 pound med ball and then throw the ball up against the wall as you stand up and then return to the squat position as you catch the ball)
5. Box Jumps (Jump up and down on a platform)
6. Toe to Bars (Hang on the pull up bar and then use your ab muscles to pull your legs up so your toes touch the bar)

ALL of these 45 times and this was AFTER we did all out weight lighting and exercising for the regular workout! WHEW! I was sooooooo tired after all that! But I felt pretty awesome when we were done!!

Just wanted to check in and tell you all that I survived my boot camp workout!! :)

Weigh In Wednesday!

Hey Y'all!

It's Weigh In Wednesday! And I stayed the same as last week! Not great, but a lot better than gaining! I am at a solid 190 lbs right now... I know I have never actually told you guys what my weight is, but now you know!! My goal weight is around 130... give or take. I haven't decided on a specific goal, and I don't want to be gross skinny... I want to be healthy and toned skinny!! :) I also want to have a healthy BMI... because right now, I don't!!
It has been a BUSY weekend!! My cousins went to Vegas, so I watched their little kiddies! A 5 year old girl, a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old boy... BUSY! The poor 1 year old had a fever and was teething! He felt so miserable! I felt terrible because I couldn't help him very much! We went swimming and to a birthday party! They had a great time!

I have to work Thursday thru Sunday, so it is going to be a challenge finding time to get my workouts/runs in, but I am up for the challenge!!

The Cheesecake Factory is YUMMY!!

I finally had a "girls' night" and went to dinner with a couple friends from my early college years. We all live in the same area, so we picked a central location to meet for dinner and some shopping! It was MUCH needed!! I have been stressing A LOT about my boyfriend... he lost his job, and has been working on unemployment crap and is also applying for school, so I have just been so worried about what is going to happen! So a night with my girl friends was just what I needed to get my mind off all the stress and drama!! I got the 4 cheese pasta, and it was delicious!! I asked for light marinara sauce.. sometimes sauces are "chunky" and I don't like giant hunks of tomatoes or onions in my food! It was absolutely delicious! Then it came time to order dessert! I looked at the menu with like 7,472 different choices, and finally decided on Reese Cup Peanut Butter Cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious! An orgasm in my mouth!! I could only eat half of it... but I was okay with that, because that means I get to eat it later!! We walked around the mall after that... which I definitely needed since I ate about four million calories for dinner!! But, I think it is totally okay to splurge every now and then... I NEVER have time to hang out with friends, so it was a nice little break and I feel refreshed and ready to get back to school and start my new workout routine!

Keep your fingers crossed for me... my cousins are going to Vegas so I am watching their kids... 5 year old girl, almost 4 year old boy and an almost 1 year old boy... gonna be interesting!! :) I am sure I will have some cute pictures to post!! :)

I hate Wireless Internet...

Hey All,
I know that I have been horrible at updating, but I have been jumping threw 457 hoops trying to get my wireless internet working!! And FINALLY it is working!!

Weighed in yesterday.. gained a pound :( I can only blame myself! I have not been doing a very good job counting my calories or getting to the gym!! I have had a few weeks off from  school, and it is completely throwing off my game!! I have no routine, so it is really hard for me to plan out my day! I have been moving, babysitting and hanging out with my boyfriend... we have a long distance relationship, so I like to spend as much time with him as possible!

I need some motivation to get back on the right track!! I need to start MAKING time!!
PS. My newest niece was born this week... she is soooo tiny and precious!! Here is a pic!!

Sorry I've been MIA!

Hey y'all! Sorry I have been soooooo MIA!! It's been a crazy week!! My sis graduated from college, I moved to a new apartment, and I babysat my 8 month old niece the past two days!! It has been crazy busy!!

I have been doing TERRIBLE at my calorie counting... we've gone out to eat a couple times, and when I was watching my niece, I ate whatever I could in the 5 seconds I had!! She is so freaking adorable!! And since I live about 2 hours away, I just love getting to see her whenever I can!! Here is a few pics of my little cutie!

Okay, I went to bootcamp with my sister in law.. (cutie's mommy!) and WOWWWW! It kicked my booty! Two days later, and I am still sore and can barely walk! But, it hurts sooooo good! Haha! We did a lot of weight lifting, lunges and pushups! My arms feel okay, but its my legs and booty that are killing me! Sitting down to pee takes like 5 minutes as I slowly lower myself down!! I plan on going next week too... it will probably take me the whole week to recover and be able to walk again!!

As I said before, I have been doing a terrible job on counting my calories for like a whole week! No bueno!! But, the only thing I can do now, is get back on track tomorrow, and push myself in my workouts!! I signed up to do Color Me Rad, which is a 5k, so I have about 3 months to get myself back in shape to run outside! I also decided I am going to do a half marathon! I haven't decided when and which one, but I have decided to do one! WOHOO!!

Weigh In Wednesday!

Hey All,
I have lost another pound this week! Wohoo! Just four more weeks til my trip to Arizona, so I just have to keep working hard!! Here is a picture from a wedding I just went with... I am with my best friend, Marie! We were sorority sisters in college and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding! She lives 10 hours away now, so I haven't seen her in 6 months!

I am the QUEEN of mac and cheese. I love it. All kinds!! So, when I saw that Wendy's has a new side of mac and cheese, I just had to try it! And, I must say, it is pretty darn good!! It is REALLY cheesy!! The portion size is fairly small, and its 370 calories, so I had to plan accordingly today, but it was well worth it! I recommend giving it a try if you are a mac and cheese lover like me!!

I also completed my last final today!! That means it is officially summer time for me :) Until my summer classes start May 15th... I only have about 2 weeks, but it is a much needed time away from school, homework and reading! I think I am going to read "50 Shades of Gray" over my next two weeks... I have heard a lot about it... so I want to see what all the buzz is about!!

Until then, I am gonna focus on getting some really good workouts in!! Elliptical today, 20/20/20 tomorrow and running/weight lifting on Friday!! What's your workout plan like for the rest of the week?

First Experience with Cycle Intervals...

HOLY CRAP!! I just got back from the gym, and the fitness instructor kicked our asses today!! My favorite class is called 20/20/20... which is 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of toning and then 20 minutes of whatever the instructor wants... could be yoga, carido, deep stretching, pretty much whatever! Well, today, she decided we were going to do cycle intervals for 30 minutes and then abs for 20 and stretching for 10... not exactly 20/20/20 but whatever.

The first thing I have to say is that I am pretty sure whoever invented the bikes made the seats as uncomfortable as possible! I am pretty sure I won't be able to walk tomorrow!!
Secondly, WOW. I've done intervals on the elliptical and treadmill, but it felt like NOTHING compared to the bike!! We were changing the resistance, sprinting, standing up, hovering, and sitting down every 5 seconds... okay, not really, but that's what it felt like!! I always try to go to classes taught by the same instructor, her name is Liz, because she is awesome and really motivating... and she remembers everyone's name, and really makes you feel like you are kicking some ass. Well, Liz kicked my ass today!! But, I have to admit, now that I am home, I loved every second of it!! Maybe not at the time, but I feel awesome now! I am leaving for a mini-vacation to Arizona in 4 weeks, so I am really working hard!!

So, if you have never tried a cycling class, I definitely recommend it, but beware, the seats are really going to hurt!!

Ps. Here is a picture of my progress.. these are the capri's that I usually work out in, and they are getting to be too big!! Ignore the scars all over (2 surgeries in 3 months= 6 beautiful scars), the stretch marks and the fat... just check out how big the pants are!! :)
